About Lucia

Running my blog alongside completing my fashion journalism degree in London meant I was lucky enough to realise early on I didn’t want to conform to a traditional 9-5 job in fashion. From trips to europe for fashion week to brand collaborations – blogging had given me the taste of remote working and I was hooked. So instead of going into the kind of traditional job my degree was designed for, I chose to take the plunge into being a self-employed content creator.

This gave me the opportunity to travel more than ever before, so I went on a pivotal trip to Bali and fell in love both with the island and with lifestyle and knew one day, I’d be living there. I began coming out for months at a time, working remotely. One of the main things that attracted me to Bali was the entrepreneurial goal-getting ex-pat community that constantly inspired me.  I loved my role as an ‘influencer’ but this soon taught me I was ready for new challenges. Eventually, through a group of mutual boss-women friends, I met Renee. And a little while later, when I learned she was hiring for Ode & Rae, and I immediately pitched myself for the role. 1 month later I was back in Bali, living with Renee and our rescue Bali pup, working together for this amazing sustainable brand!

My role as Creative Director means I’m in charge of all things social media and content creation – from creating journal entries and Instagram stories, to sourcing inspiration, curating the feed and working with our favourite influencers. My favourite part of the role is getting to create our campaign stories – from everything from the initial moodboard to sourcing models, shoot locations and working collaboratively with Renee and our photographer – it’s here my creativity thrives.

In Bali, you’ll find me at a morning yoga class, followed by a laptop work session with the girls in one of our favourite cafés and perhaps a brand content shoot in the afternoon. In the evenings you’ll find me at one sunset spot or another for a cold coconut, glass of Rosé or spicy margarita if I’m feeling super fancy.
