I spent 6 years working in corporate sales roles in the financial services and tech sector in London. Despite these being quite impressive jobs to a lot of people, I always felt like something was missing. I’d always dreamed of living in a sunny, tropical place and having more freedom in life. Bali was calling…! Eventually, I decided to quit my job, start a podcast and buy a one-way ticket to Bali to explore the world of remote work.

In Bali, I met the lovely Renee and we became great friends. When she told me about her swimwear brand it was so funny because I was already an Ode & Rae fan having bought multiple bikini’s before - it was my go-to swimwear brand!

It was a no-brainer when she asked me to come onboard and help out with the brand. I look after all things Operations for Ode & Rae, whether that’s speaking to our lovely customers via our customer service channels, liaising with our warehouse and fulfilment partners, driving our charity and sustainability agenda and helping Renee with lots of exciting strategic initiatives. It’s truly amazing to be able work for a brand you genuinely love, that was built by one of your best friends, from your laptop, on a tropical island.

A typical day in Bali for me involves waking up early to run along the beach at sunrise, followed by a few yoga stretches and a cuddle with our Bali rescue pup. Then onto a cafe of my choice to start work for Ode & Rae. My afternoon might involve a podcast interview or calls with the Ode team. Then I love to catch sunset with the girls and a coconut or a cheeky rose at one of my fave sunset spots like La Brisa. Afterwards I’ll finish off a bit of work or start winding down with a good podcast.
