We are a small team of like-minded women who decided to build a sustainable, fashion forward, high quality swimwear brand.
Founded on core values of sustainability and transparency, we manufacture Ode & Rae out of our home-away-from-home in Bali to ensure we are physically part of every step of the process. We want to support the local Balinese economy and community so we promise to pay all of our manufacturing employees at least double the minimum wage (in most cases much more) as well as providing them and their families with free healthcare.
We are so committed to the quality and durability of our garments that we have spent years trialing different fabric technologies. We never cut quality corners and subsequently now source the best-of-the-best material from Milan, Italy. Our premium ECONYL techno fabric is 100% regenerated nylon yarn - recycled plastic that would otherwise have been on its way to polluting our oceans.
We pride ourselves on being a sustainable company all the way through from brand to basket, which is why for every 100 pieces we make, we also promise to protect 100 square meters of Indonesian rainforest. However, being sustainable should never be to the detriment of style. By only manufacturing limited quantities of each swim design, we prevent excess waste (we never want to contribute to the fast fashion industry) as well as being able to consistently innovate fresh new collection drops for our customers.
Ode & Rae is grounded in an affirmation that minimalist can still be classy; our garments are inspired by creatively curated designs that sexily accentuate the body whilst simultaneously oozing luxury.
