8 million tons of waste end up in our seas every single year – we refuse to be a part of the problem.

Ode & Rae have teamed up with the Aquafil group who produce sustainable techno fabric made with ECONYL®.

All pieces are made from 100% regenerated nylon yarn derived from pre and post industrial waste.  – simply put this means less plastic in our oceans. We are committed to ensuring all materials (including packaging) will be completely eco-friendly and recyclable.

The Process

1. Rescue

The ECONYL® Regeneration System starts with rescuing waste, like fishing nets, fabric scraps, carpet flooring and industrial plastic from landfills and oceans all over the world. That waste is then sorted and cleaned to recover all of the nylon possible.

2. Regenerate

Through a radical regeneration and purification process, the nylon waste is recycled right back to its original purity. That means ECONYL® regenerated nylon is exactly the same as virgin nylon.

 3. Remake

ECONYL® regenerated nylon is processed into carpet yarn and textile yarn for use in the fashion industry.

4. Reimagine

Ode & Rae then utilise the ECONYL® fabric by turning into the luxurious swimwear pieces you all love.
